The library holds numerous print periodical indexes.  You can use these indexes to locate magazines, scholarly journals, and newspapers  that were written before the onset of electronic databases.  The print indexes range in date coverage with some covering as far back as the 1800s. Most of the print indexes are located on the ground floor with the reference books. Others are shelved in the basement with the Biological Abstracts.
