Pre-Medicine

Students interested in allopathic or osteopathic medical school can major in just about anything, although the majority of students choose either biology or chemistry.

As a person interested in health care you must consider these points:

bulletYou must also be well-rounded in your liberal arts education.
bulletYou must also demonstrate a desire to help people, either through paid or volunteer work.
bulletFinally,  you should seriously consider "job shadowing" to see just what a physician does in the course of the day.  Talk to your advisor about arranging this during  your junior or senior year.
bulletYou must maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
