Academic Notes
Recently, UNA was listed and recognized among the top institutions of higher education in the nation by the publishers of U.S. News and World Report in America's Best Colleges: 1995 College Guide. Classes are taught by faculty members with solid academic and professional credentials. The current ratio of one faculty member for every twenty-four students provides a great deal of personalized attention in the classroom. Approximately 80 percent of the faculty are full-time and devote their full energies to students and educational pursuits. there are 79 undergraduate majors offered from four colleges--Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Nursing/Allied Health--and graduate programs in arts and sciences, business and education.
