GENERAL CHEMISTRY

University of North Alabama

The chemistry major with the general chemistry option prepares students for a variety of possible careers in chemistry laboratories and in chemistry related fields like forensics or pharmaceutical sales. It is also excellent preparation for preprofessional programs in medicine, dentistry, medical technology, and similar programs. Requirements for the general chemistry major include prescribed ancillary courses in computer science, mathematics and physics.  A minor or a second major is also required.
