PROFESSIONAL CHEMISTRY

University of North Alabama

The chemistry major with the professional chemistry option is designed for students who wish to prepare for positions in the chemical industry, in governmental laboratories or for graduate studies in chemistry.  This major is certified by the American Chemical Society.  Requirements for the professional chemistry major include prescribed ancillary courses in computer science, mathematics and physics.  The following table lists the courses required to obtain a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in professional chemistry.
