The Computer Information Systems Department at the University of North Alabama offers a distance CIS 125. The Business Application Microcomputer course (CIS 125 I01) is a course that can be taken in one of two ways:
Option 1: hybrid course where students must attend class for a scheduled orientation and three exam periods during the semester.
Option 2: totally distance where exams are given by an approved proctor. This option is for students that live too far to travel to campus or have scheduling conflicts. The student's use of a proctor must be requested and approved prior to the course beginning.
Students seeking admission into this class must complete the permit request form. After the permit form is submitted through this web site, students will receive notification within 24 hours if a permit will be issued. Students must then register for CIS 125 I01 as they would for any other course at UNA.
The Internet section of CIS 125 is reserved for students that have basic internet skills and work well on their own. The instructor strongly suggests that students take the face-to-face CIS 125, if they have limited technology skills or need step-by-step guidance.
Please make sure that you choose the link for the semester you need this course.
