SITING A CAMPGROUND IN THE BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST

OVERVIEW:

The US Forest Service wants to expand the campgrounds available in the Bankhead National Forest. They have contracted with your company to perform a GIS siting analysis. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to site a campground in the best possible location and then to justify your recommendation to the USFS District Manager.

SITING CRITERIA:

The US Forest Service is relying on your expertise to determine the criteria (don't let them down).

RESULTS:

Your results will be presented at the end of class (3:00 pm) on Saturday, preferably in a concise, flowing presentation including the criteria you chose and why, the analyses you performed and your final recommendation.
