The Geography program at UNA offers two options:

Option I- Professional Geography

Option II- General Geography

Option I - Professional Geography - prepares students for careers in the exploding Geographic Information Systems and remote sensing industry.  Professional Geography students are not required to choose a minor, however, if the student wishes, he/she may choose a minor related to their Geographic Information Systems area of interest (i.e., marketing, management, biology, geology, computer science, computer information systems, etc.).

Option II - General Geography - prepares students for careers in urban planning, transportation planning, education or other related fields. General Geography students are required to select a minor and should select one that is relative to their area(s) of interest (i. e., marketing, management, biology, geology, etc.). Students may also choose to apply to the School of Education for coursework and certification in various part of K-12 education.
