Theta Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi
University of North Alabama
Greetings!
To the Alumni of the Theta Omega chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. This is the second major project of the new Alumni office. Our first goal was to find as many alumni as we could. We have successfully found 56 leaving 24 unfound brothers. If you have any information regarding anyone that has been associated with this chapter, we urge you to send it to us. Also, if anyone still has not sent in their information sheet we would like for you to send that to us as well. We want to get to know you and know where you are. Everything is still in its beginning stages with the new office. However, we feel confident that we are moving in the right direction. I welcome all comments and suggestions so e-mail me at RThpsn@aol.com. As always, "Strive for the Highest," thank you and God Bless.Fraternally yours,
Russ Thompson
Summary Theta Omega ’00 – ’01.
It has been a busy year this here at UNA. In the fall, the "Pride of Dixie" performed at home and at several exhibitions in North Alabama. K-Psi continued the tradition of providing water as well as motivation and leadership for the band.Theta Omega " commissioned" a video of the " Pride of Dixie." The video takes a look at the band from a member’s perspective. Plans are already in the works for another video next fall. If you are interested in a video from this year contact Lloyd Jones (Dob) at the band room.
We decided to take part in the Homecoming Activities of ’00. The chapter participated in window painting, float building, video production, and step show all while keeping our responsibilities with the band. We are proud to say we placed fourth in the window painting and second in the step show. All proceeds from step show went to United Way.
The Chapter raised a record amount of money during the fall semester. Our two major projects, band T-shirts for all members and band video, helped raise over $4,000. Our ability to help out the band with this money is what we are most proud of.
On Dec.10, we crossed our four perspective members into the brotherhood. The "Rho" class consisted of: Jeremy Frye-Florence, Ryan Nix-Hartselle, Mark Gajewski-Panama City Fl and Kevin Atkinson-Scottsboro.
