Faculty/Staff

Library instruction sessions can be scheduled for any class offered at UNA.  Topics that can be covered include but are not limited to the following:  UNACAT (the libraries' online catalog), specific databases, e-mail, the Internet, reference sources in a specific discipline, and Internet resources in a specific discipline.  The faculty of Collier Library can generally accommodate any requests for additional topics if given sufficient preparation time.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule a bibliographic instruction session, please contact the Instructional Services Librarian at extension 4466 or e-mail dlthompson@una.edu.

Students

Open workshops will be offered each Spring and Fall semester.  Topics to be covered in these classes include: Internet searching, the online catalog, and searching periodical databases.  These classes will be open to any registered UNA student and will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.   The FREE Research Workshop page lists all scheduled workshops.   If you have any questions about the upcoming classes, please contact the Instructional Services Librarian at 765-4466.

Community Groups

Community groups may request library tours and/or library instruction.  These requests will be honored whenever possible.  However, scheduling preference will be given to UNA faculty, staff, and students.  To inquire about  library instruction for a community or school group, call the Instructional Services Librarian at 765-4466 or e-mail dlthompson@una.edu.
