UNA faculty, staff, and students.
REGULATIONS OF USE INCLUDE...
All patrons must adhere to the general policies of the Library.
These privileges apply only to Collier Library. Use of materials
in the Learning Resources Center, Kilby Library, the Media
Center, or the Music Library is not covered by this policy.
Borrower's card must be presented at time of checking-out materials.
The registrants themselves are responsible for overdue fines,
damage, and replacement costs. User privileges may be suspended
for delinquent fees after notification.
Multiple cards issued to organizations and corporations are
registered in the name of the organization/corporation. Charges
are billed to the person who signs the membership form.
Interlibrary loans and online search requests are not a part of
this policy and should be referred to a public library.
Since the academic community has priority for use of library
materials, all items checked out to Community Borrowers are

University's Library to provide materials representing different
viewpoints and diversity of appeal.
UNA Library
Computer Workstation Use Policy

computing equipment for educational purposes, including
reference, research, and course assignments consistent with
the purpose and goals of the University of North Alabama. Priority
is given for accessing electronic databases, Web sites, and
programs needed for completing UNA assignments.

Currently enrolled
University of North Alabama students, faculty, and staff are
considered primary users and are given preference in the use
of Collier Library workstations. Use is on a first come, first
served basis; however, use times may be restricted during periods
of heavy demand.
-
Community members, special
borrowers, and local high school or junior high students may use
the workstations for educational purposes with the
understanding that priority is granted to UNA's primary
users. To use the library computers, younger children

Concerning the Internet
The Internet provides a great
assortment of information sources that can be culturally,
professionally, and personally enlightening. Collier Library seeks to
provide links through the Library's home page (http://www2.una.edu/library)
to sources consistent with the University's educational, research, and
public services mission. However, the Internet is an unregulated
network that also offers access to information and images outside the
bounds of the Library's mission and collection development policies.
The currency, accuracy, and reliability of Internet information
sources vary greatly. It is the responsibility of the user to evaluate
and determine the quality and value of the information found. The
Library assumes no responsibility for any damages, direct or indirect,
resulting from the use of information obtained via the Internet.
