Life in Pond Water

Stagnant Pond Water Jar

From several minutes to a few days
after stocking a jar with pond water and
algae/debris, many organisms rise to the
upper portion of the water column where
oxygen is more available.  A vinegar jar
with a long neck is particularly useful for
dramatizing the effect (image at right).

Use a pipette to retrieve organisms from the jar and add to a MicroAquarium.
