Each member selected to perform in the "Pride of Dixie" marching band and concert band is awarded a scholarship without regard to academic major. The band scholarships range from $200 to $1200 per semester and are renewable each academic year.
In many cases, band scholarships may be combined with other financial aid to lessen the cost of a college education.
The type of scholarship that a wind or percussion player receives is determined by an audition with the Director of Bands. Auxiliary members receive an initial scholarship of $200 for the fall semester. This scholarship increases
for each year of additional participation.
Appointments for wind and percussion auditions may be scheduled anytime prior to the fall
semester a student plans to enter The University of North Alabama.
