Administrative Affairs Organizational Structure

The Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is the chief academic officer of the University.  This office has oversight for the four academic colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Business, and the College of Nursing and Allied Health.  In addition, the division includes Information Technologies and the Office of Research, Assessment, and Planning. 

The Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost serves as the chief academic officer for the University and reports to the President.  The VPAA supervises the Deans of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, and Nursing and Allied Health.  In addition, the VPAA supervises the activities of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Research, Dean of Information Technologies, and the Director of Research, Assessment, and Planning.  The VPAA is responsible for the oversight and improvement of all academic programs at the University.  

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is located in room 214 Bibb Graves Hall.  The VPAA can be reached by calling 256.765.4258 or by e-mail.
